Half Day Morning Sightseeing in Yangon

The highlight of the tour is to experience Yangon landscape from Yangon River and visiting world famous Shwedagon Pagoda.

Standing tall above 300 feet, the bell shaped Shwedagon Pagoda is the landmark of Myanmar. Following the tradition, walk around the pagoda on a clockwise direction, learn about the 2,600 year old history of the pagoda, be blessed by pouring water on Buddha statue, enjoy the sounds of prayers chanted by the individuals or groups of Buddhist devotees.

Continue in time to Botataung Jetty to board Yangon River Cruise. The river cruise takes about one and a half hours. During the cruise, enjoy and discover Yangon landscape and a busy morning life along the banks of Yangon River.

Continue for the city tour covering Yangon City Hall, Sule Pagoda, and downtown area filled with beautiful colonial buildings in the area. Walk towards China Town and discover many small businesses on the platform of busy Yangon streets. Then, stop by at the central market known as Bogyoke Aung San Market (or also called Scott Market) and practice your bargaining skills with the local vendors. In this open market, the vendors sell varieties of local handicrafts from all over the country. You can find traditional velvet slippers to the jewelries. (This market is closed on Mondays and major public holidays).

The highlight of the tour is to experience the old Yangon by visiting the colonial era buildings mixing with the today landscape of Yangon; and visiting world famous Shwedagon Pagoda.

Until development plans come to reality, the circular trains are still the lifeline of Yangon’s busy residents. Hop onto one of the trains from Yangon Railway Station to one of the busiest and colorful local markets in outskirt Yangon. Enjoy your ride with the daily commuters and vendors. As much as you find interest in the locals, it is often the locals who find the same in you.

Package prices include:

  1. Domestic airfares as per itinerary
  2. Airport transfers, sightseeing transportation, boat fares as per itinerary
  3. 3 or 4 star Hotel accommodations in twin/double sharing rooms with daily breakfast
  4. English speaking station guides as per itinerary
  5. Zone fees and entrance fees as per itinerary

Prices not include:

  1. Myanmar entry visa
  2. International air tickets, International airport tax
  3. Lunch, dinner or drinks
  4. Tipping for guide and driver
  5. Personal expenses such as laundry, telephone call etc
  6. Travel and medical insurance
  7. Services not mentioned as inclusive

Remarks:

  1. Above prices are quoted in US dollars
  2. Above prices are valid for mentioned period only; the quoted prices may change with or without notice
  3. Above prices are subject to change depending on final itinerary and hotel booking availability
  4. Minor tour program changes are necessary due to road and weather conditions and flight schedules
  5. Please be informed that credit cards are only accepted in the major hotels. US dollar cash is widely accepted.

Payment – Bank transfer and credit card payment:
50% advance payment is necessary at the time of tour booking. This payment can be made by bank transfer. We request clients to handle any bank charges incurred. The remaining balance is to be settled by bank transfer before your arrival or settling by Visa or Mastercard upon your arrival. There is 3.5% surcharge on credit card payment.

Cash payment conditions:
Please be informed that we would like to accept only new and ‘large head’ US dollar bills. We cannot accept the bills that are torn, too much creased in the middle, with writings or stains on, the bills with ‘small heads’, or the CB series of US$ 100 note and AB series of US$ 50 notes. We thank you for your understanding and kind cooperation.

Cancellation Policy:
60 days and above: 30% of total amount and bank charges
30-60 days: 50% of total amount
14-30 days: 75% of total amount
1-14 days: Full payment
